Dear Lord,

As we gather to remember and honor those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom, we lift up the families left behind. We seek Your comfort and strength for those who are grieving, and we ask You to wrap them in Your loving arms. We are reminded of Your word that states,

“Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.”
Matthew 5:4

May these families feel Your presence and know that their loved ones’ sacrifices are not forgotten. Help us to support them, to stand with them in their pain, and to celebrate the legacy of courage and honor that their loved ones have left behind. We pray for peace, healing, and solace in their hearts. We thank You, Lord, for the gift of sacrifice shown by these brave souls and ask that we never take our freedoms for granted.
